The graph illustrates on changes in the alternation of crime from in Newport city centre over a 9 years. Overall, there were upward trends in car theft and robbery while burglary experience downward the time period covered by the graph.
Looking at the detail, at the beginning of the period, burglary was the most general crime, with around 3400 reported cases in 2003. After this point, the number of burglary at New Port incidents noticeably a drop from 3400 to 1250 in between 2004-2008. Subsequently, to remain stable from 2009 to 2012.
On the other hand, car theft starting at 2700 incidents in 2003 and to maintain the same level until 2005. Furthermore, the statistics show that in 2006 happened 2000 cases which it is the lowest number, but over the years crime has risen to highest poin in 2012 at 2800 crime acts.
