The graph below illustrates how crime rates transformed in Panama City from 2010 to 2019. A holistic look at the graph reveals that the greatest change occurred in the number of burglaries, while theft incidents remained low but steady.
The burglary was the most widespread incident with approximately number of 3400 happening times. Although reaching a peak in 3600 during 2011, it saw a noticeable decline over the next four years. Prior to hitting a free fall to roughly 2000 in 2013, the amount of car theft stabilized at the number of nearly 2700. Accordingly, the plenty of accidents was nearly the same. The robbery had 600 incidents initially, even though changes experienced by other crimes, it showed a marginal increase with a fall in 2015 at the point of 500.
In the next four years, burglary was followed by an upward trend to approximately 1500. Then, it eventually fluctuated at this number. The figure for car thefts mirrored this pattern and substantially increased over the next four successive years. This indicator ended up at roughly 2700. Robbery remained the least popular indicator during the given period. It saw a gradual increase of about 200 points. A number that then stopped with about 600 accidents in 2019.
