In cities, middle income group dominates the population, making up 35% of the population. It is followed by lower middle income with 30%. High income group contributes to 20% of the population. The least of the cities’ population is made up by low income group, with approximately 13%.
Additionally, regional centres are prevalent with lower middle income group. Its percentage almost reaching 35%. It is followed by middle income group that ranges from 26%-27%. Third overall highest with 21%-22% of contribution is low middle group. Lastly, high income group makes up 15% of regional centres.
Both cities and regional centres are predominated by two income groups: Lower middle and middle. Similarly, it is also less populated by high and low income groups.
