Overall, what stands out from the bar chart is that the highest women’s and men’s employment status is unemployed and retired. In the meantime the lowest women’s and men’s status is employed (full time).
Looking in the bar chart more in detail, it is evident that men had noticeably higher amount in full time employment compared to women. At the same time, part time work was taken only by women. Unemployment was high for both genders, but men had a slightly larger quantity than women. Similarly, the retirement had remarkable amount of both genders, where men had a slightly larger number than women. In contrast, the housewives category was taken only by women without any comparison with men.
Based on this data, it can be concluded that men in Uzbekistan in 2016 were more engaged in full time work and had minimal higher quantity of unemployment and retirement. In contrast, women demonstrated engagement in part time employment and house responsibilities, that indicates gender division of labor at work.
