Overall, internet usage was highest in Iran and Saudi Arabia, whereas Lebanon recorded the lowest figure. The remaning countries fell somewhere in between, with noticeable differences in utilization rates.
In detail, 56.7 million users deployed the internet in Iran, making it the leading country. Saudi Arabia tracked loosely at 24.15. Iraq also reported a high number, at 14 million, although this was slightly lower than Saudi Arabia.
By contrast, the United Arab Emirates’ figure stood at 8.52, representing moderate level of consumerism. Yemen, Isreal shared similar numbers, while differing from 6.91 to 6.64. Likewise, Jordan and Syria exhibited close amount of web surfers varying from 6.3 to 6.03. Lebanon had the lowest proportion, at 4.6 million, which was significantly lower than other nine countries. The gap between the highest and lowest sovereignties was therefore substantial, at 52.1 points.
Overall, while the most countries demonstrated the high levels of internet use, a clear disparity remained between the most and least utilizing nations.
