The bar chart compares six cities of Australia – Perth, Darwin, Canberra, Melbourne, Sydney, and Brisbane – in terms of the percentages of water levels in reservoirs between 2009 and 2010 in October. Overall, all countries experienced an upward trend, except for Perth, which saw a downward trend, while Sydney remained unchanged. In addition, Darwin and Brisbane were the most popular nations, which had the highest level of water.
Starting with the most used countries, the amount of water collected by Darwin had 75% in 2009, after which it improved further to 80% in 2010. Similarly, the Brisbane water level started at 75% in 2009, and this was followed by a considerable rise to 100% in 2010.
In 2009, the remaining nations that saw an increase were Canberra and Melbourne, with the respective figures accounting for 50% and 35% before rising to 73% and 45%, respectively. Despite standing at almost half of the chart, at 51% in 2009, the percentage of water in Perth decreased to 26% in 2010, whereas Brisbane’s water level held steady, with 46% in the given years.
