Overall, it is noticeable that in most cities in October 2010, the water levels were significantly higher than those in Oct 2009, expect for Darwin. Sydney, however, shared the same proportion of water in both periods. Besides, Brisbane and Darwin were the highest, while the reverse was true for Melbourne.
As can be seen, in October of 2009, Brisbane and Darwin were recorded at the top of the list with 75% both, followed by Perth and Canberra, accounting for 51% and 50%, respectively. Moreover, the reservoir in Sydney comprised 49% of water, compared to Melbourne, which recorded the lowest total of all, only 35%.
Regarding the October of the next year, water reserved in Brisbane made up the largest portion with approximately 100%, whereas Darwin accounted for 80%. Additionally, the sum of water in Canberra was 73%, in comparison with 45% in Melbourne. In contrast, Perth recorded the lowest of just 26%, respectively.
