The pie charts compare the major means of transportation in the year 2004 and 2009 for individuals moving to specific university for jobs or study.
In general, it is evident that the percentage of individuals who used cars to work or school in 2004 saw a significant increase while train users accounted for the lowest proportion. However, the percentage of bus passengers exhibited gradual incline in 2009, whereas other means of transport shows a marginal rise.
With regards to 2004, a greater number of people were conveyed to work or study by cars recording a percentage of 52. This was followed by bus with 33%. Meanwhile, in 2009, bus passengers exhibited a substantial growth contributing to 46%. Similarly car users experienced a decrease with a share of 28%.
Also, the rate of bicycle riders rose from 9% to 16% in 2009. Although train and walking passengers formed the least proportion at the beginning of the year. They saw a slight increase in 2009, reaching a percentage of 4% and 6% respectively.
