It is clear that the figure for private cars registered as the highest number for the whole period. In contrast, the figure for Bus, Coach, and Taxi was the lowest figure from 1996 and 2006
In 1996, 19 millions of private cars were in use, and 0.1 million of bus, coach, and taxi registered to be on the road. In 2006, the former increased by 6 million and surpassed by 26.32%, while the latter still remained unchanged.
The number of permitted motorcycles, lorries, and other types were recorded at 1 million, 0.5 million, and 1.5 million in 1996, respectively. The figures for motorcycles, and lorries decreased by 0.6 million which was minus 40%, and 0.4 million that was minus 20% in 2006, respectively. However, there were 2 million of other vehicle types in use, and this trend increased by 58,33%.
