Overall, it is clear that the number of used private cars was lead in the graph during the timespan. While the reverse is true for public transports which reamained unchanged along with the highest gap between them.
Looking at the first figures, private cars were the most popular type used by european citizen accounting for 19 million, which reported to change with 26% to approximately 24 million use. By contrast, the number of public transports witnessed the stability which unchanged over the period, constituting for 1 million.
For the second figures, motorbike users started at 3 million in 1996 before declining slightly to 2 millions.
Regarding trucks and others, the number of users utilizing trucks in 1996 were precisely double that in 2006. A similar trend was seen in figure for others, accounting for 2,5 million to nearly 3 million, which witnessed 33% changes.
