The graph illustrates the figures for four different species of fish, including Atlantic cod, haddock, yellowfin tuna, and swordfish from 1982 to 2007.
Overall, while two kinds of fish recorded many changes in their figures, haddock and swordfish remained unchanged the number of fish from 1982 to 2007. The highest number was Atlantic cod, in contrast, swordfish witnessed the lowest number.
Initially, Atlantic cod started at 240,000 , before decreasing dramatically to 150,000 in 1992. In 2002, the number of this fish went slightly up to 160,000; after that, it declined to 140,000 at the end of the period. Furthermore, yellowfin tuna began at 150,000 in 1982, before rising sharply to 200,000 after a decade, following that it decreased gradually to 100,000 in 2007. Consequently, Yellowfin tune witnessed a considerable decrease, less than twice its initial number.
On the other hand, there are two kinds of fish which remain unchanged in all the periods, respectively haddock and swordfish. The former remained unchanged at 60,000 from 1982 to 2007. The number of Swordfish also did not change at zero which was the lowest figure between four different species in the periods.
