The chart gives information about the amount of households in the US classified by their annual earnings in three different years: 2007, 2011 and 2015. Units are measured in millions.
Overall, it is evident that the highest yearly income corresponds to the higher number of households and this value rose a significant peak in 2015. Households with an income of $25,000 to $49,999, and $100,000 or more are the ones which gained more popularity in the period given. The contrary occurred with houses with incomes of $50,000 and $74,999 and $75,000 to $99,999 stayed almost the same during the period given.
In the year 2007, the highest number of households corresponds to the ones which had an earning of $100,000 or more. This value is almost 30 million of households. The contrary happens with the households which correspond to $75,000 to $99,999 income, which was only below 15 million of house establishments.
Regarding 2011, there was a significant increase of number of households for the people who earned from $25,000 to $49,999, with approximately 30 millions of house establishment. There is also a significant variation regarding less than $25,000 income, with around 30 million of households. The highest peak comes in 2015, with earnings of $100,000 or more and more than 30 million of households.
