The below bar chart illustrates the number of households in the US by their yearly wage in 2007, 2011, and 2015.
Generally, the data remains relatively stable in the within the eight years, where most families gained below $49999 or above ten thousand dollars.
In 2007, over 25 million households had an annual income of of less than $25000, same as the one’s with $25000-$49999. The middle-class Americans with $50000-$74999 income were around 20 million, which remained unchanged in the whole period. A similar situation occured in the $75000-$99999 income column either, slightly fluctuates of around 15 million households.
The most significant change of the graph is shown in the upper-class with an annual income of over $100000. While the catagory have the most a number of housholds, which is nearly 30 million in 2007, it declined with 5 million of them left the catagory while the one below five thousand dollars kept increasing. However, ultimately in the final year 2015 in the data, a number of nearly 8 million growth was shown and leading the catagory as the highest again.
