The data related to the information how many people immigrated into Germany according to their regions in 2010 and 2020 are illustrated in the chart presented beside.
Based on the given information, it can crystal clearly be seen that Europe had the highest number of immigrants in both year. However, South Asia had the lowest numbers in both years. Besides, immigration from Oceania, East Asia and Africa increased, while the numbers for Europe, America and South Asia went down.
Getting back to the details, as is seen in the chart, in 2000, Europe was the source of the biggest immigrants with 30 million people. America was the second one with about 23 million. On the other hand, Oceania and East Asia had similar numbers, with 16 million and 15 million respectively. Also, Africa and South Asia had the lowest numbers with roughly 6 million and 5 million.
When looking into 2010, the number of immigrants from Europe fell down to 25 million, but it still had the highest number of immigrants. Moreover, East Asia got the second place by increasing rapidly up to nearly 24 million. Similarly, Oceania also rose from around 16 million to approximately 23 million. In addition, immigration from America dropped a lot, from 23 million to 13 million. Africa experienced a small increase through reaching around 7 million, while South Asia slightly decreased to around 5 million from about 6 million immigrants.
