The bar chart depicts the immigration rate of Germany by area from 2010 to 2020.
Overall, it is clear that Europe had the highest number of immigrants. Oceania, America, and East Asia had moderate levels; whereas, Africa and South Asia had a small number of immigrants. It is worth noticing that the migration rate of all countries fluctuated during these years.
As is presented in the data, Europe had the highest number of immigrants in 2000, with 30 million people in a year. Following this, America was the second largest country with 22 million immigrants in the same year. Following these, Oceania and East Asian people were less than 20 million in 2000. In contrast, Africa and South Asia were less than 10 million.
In 2010, all these immigration rates based on different countries had changed dramatically. Europe, which had the highest, dropped to 25 million immigrants per year in 2010. Similarly, America fell sharply to less than 15 million immigrants per year. However, other regions, such as Oceania and East Asia, rose substantially to almost 20 million individuals per year. Africa and South Asia remained less than 10 million, yet Africa slightly increased and South Asia declined.
