The bar graph illustrates the number of male and female students in further education in Britain during three different time period. Whether they studying either full time or part time.
Overall, according to provided data, the large number of students studying as part time could be seen over the period of time whereas, only few students were studying as full time. Upward trend can be seen in term of female students in both part time and full time whereas, male students experienced fluctuation as part time and growth as full time.
The number of male students were highest at the beginning as a part time education which was about 1000. The number of male students got fluctuated and got declined in 1980/81 and reached approximately 850 and again the number got increased and reached 900 in 1990/91. While, as a full time education in term of male students, growth in the number can be observed during the time period.
The data indicates a gradual growth in part time education among female students from 1970 to 1990. In the initial year, the number of female students were roughly 700 which grew up to 800 in 1880/81. And in 1990/91 the number of female students studying part time hit highest and reached around 1100 during the time period. Moreover, the number of female students studying full time also experienced an upward trend during the time period. Which was roughly 50 at the beginning and got increased to 200 in 1980/81 and remained steady in 1990/91.
