The bar graph represents the number of male and female paticipants in part-time and full-time further education from 1970 to 1991.
First, the figure of men who paticipated in part-time class declined. In contrast, there was a gradual decrease in the number of men who recieved full-time education. In 1970, around one million males took part-time classes. It fluctuated between nearly one million and about 800 thousand, and it finished at around 900 thousand in 1990 While, full time education rised from almost 100 thousand to around 200 thousand during the two decades.
Meanwhile, the trend of women was a little different. The rapid growth in the figure of females who obtained both part-time and full-time education can be seen. The result of part-time education started from about 700 thousand in 1970, and reached a peak of about 1.1 million in 1990. In terms of full-time classes, the number in 1970 stood at about 80 thousands. After this, it gradually climbed and peaked at around 300 thousand in 1990.
Overall, the increase was seen for most trends except the figure of males who enrolled in part-time education.
