The bar chart compares the enrollment of men and women in part-time and full-time further education in Britain in the period of 1970, 1980 and 1991.
Overall, number of men studying full-time initially had an upward trend but flunctuated and experienced a slight decreased in the given period while the number of women enrolled in the full-time program had a decreased in trend but saw massive upward trend in the given period. Although both men and women studying part-time, at the start experienced a decrese in trend but saw massive increase in trend over the given period.
Between 1970 to 1971, males enrolled in the full-time program had approximately 1 million but saw slight decreased in the year 1980 to 1981 with about 820 thoisand and rose slightly in 1990 to 1991 with around 850 thousand. On the contrary, the men who studies part-time were about 100 thousand in 1970 to 1971. This figure increased slightly to around 150 thousand in the year 1980 to 1981 and it continued to move upward to around 200 thousand in 1990 to 1991.
As for the females enrolled in full-time, they were about 700 thousand from 1970 to 1971. The number improve to approximately 800 thousand in 1980 to 1981 and continue to rise massively to nearly 1200 million. Whereas, the women enrolled in part-time where about 10 thousand. This number increased drastically to around 100 thousand in 1980 to 1981 and experienced slight increase to around 200 thousand between 1990 to 1991.
