The line graph compares the number of visits to a community website during its first and second year of use, measured monthly from September to August.
Overall, it is clear that the second year recorded significantly higher visitor numbers than the first year in most months. We can also see that both years followed similar seasonal patterns, with peaks observed in November-December and again in July.
Looking more closely at the first year, visits started at approximately 10,000 in September before rising to an initial peak of around 15,000 in November. The figure then declined sharply over the following three months, dropping to just under 5,000 by February. After this low point, visitor numbers recovered steadily, reaching a second peak of roughly 15,000 in July before falling slightly to about 12,000 in August.
In the second year, a similar but more pronounced pattern can be observed. Visits began at just over 15,000 in September and climbed dramatically to a peak of approximately 25,000 in November. This was followed by a steep decline to around 5,000 in February – comparable to the first year’s low. Subsequently, the figure rebounded even more sharply, rising to a high of approximately 23,000 in July, before dropping marginally to around 20,000 in August.
