Overall, the students with all kinds has the signiciently increased by 2005 compered to1990, the Males-Part time students showd the most fluctuation during the period.
In 1990, it is noticeable that the number of Males-Full time students was the highest, with approximately 200000, and then they rose steadily to about 300000 by 1998, reaching the peak at 800000 students in 2005. The same increasing tendency was also witnessed by the females full-time and part-time students, wherein the former group started at more of less 190000 followed by an increase of approximately 20000 in 1998 until it peaked at roughly 810000 seven years after. The later group started at about 100000 prior to ascending dramatically until it reached a nearly the same figure with that of female studying full-time in 2005 .
On the contrary, although the total number of male part-time students in the UK was quite high in 1990(almost 180000), it was the only group that experienced a descent to 100000 in 1998. After then , it witnessed a surge at about 770000 by the end of the period.
