Additionally, adult visitors went to museum the most, and they maintained the highest number of visitors by the end of the timeframe, whereas the reverse was true for vistors aged under 15.
The number of adult visitors was 300,100 in 1997, significantly higher than other categories listed throughout the period. After which, this figure had reached a peak of 400,500 in 2007, and it dropped slightly to 380,000 but remained the highest number of visitors in 2012. Meanwhile, special exhibition visitors also witnessed an upward trend, albeit at a much lower rate, starting from 28,000 initially to 42,000 in the final year.
By contrast, the number of visitors aged under 15 decreased consistently over the period, starting from its highest point of 120,000 to 82,300 by the end of the given period.
