The line graph presents data with regards to the percentage deviation in total crime arrests for people under 18 areawise, as sourced from the Federal Bureau of Investigation. The suburban areas show a steeper increase in juvenile crime than urban and rural areas from 1995-1998.
There is a sharp upward trend in the suburban locality between 1995-1996 from 2% to 8%, which is followed by a drop in the next year to -2%; coming back to 0% in the following year that is 1998.
The rural line starts at a point between 2% and 4%, showing a slight rise till 1996, then dropping down to 2% in 1997 and in 1998 continually reducing to -2%.
In the urban areas there is a minor increase in the first year to 2% from a little above 0%, subsequently there is an almost constant decline to about-5% in the next 2 years.
While the suburban areas have seen more erratic and even higher numbers in juvenile crime, the urban areas have had the least amount of such activity during the same time period.
