Overall, it can be observed that coal and natural gas remained their positions throurghout the period, while nuclear power and renewables are switched with each other’s positions.
Initially, coal accounted for 40 percentage, while renewables made up only 10. In the next 2 decades, coal and renewables experienced a steadily growth, reaching 45 and 12 percentages respectively.. At the end of the period, coal distribution gradually decreased to 42 percentage, whereas renewables surged to 20 percentage in 2020.
Conversely, natural gas started at 30 percentage, followed by nuclear power at 20 percentage. After 10 years, distribution of natural gas significantly decreased to 24 while nuclear power experienced a steadily decrease and stood at roughly 19 percentage. Between 2000 and 2020, nuclear power gradually decreased and represented 15 percentage at the end of the period. During the same period, distribution of natural gas experinced a fluctuation, reaching 16 percentage in 2010 and 12 percentage in 2020.
