Overall, the percentage of cars sold in Asia witnessed an upward trend while that of other regions decreased or remain unchanged over the period. Another striking feature is that Asia had the highest rate of sold car, whereas South America had the lowest ones by the end of the period.
In 2006, a quarter of car was sold out in Asia and this number increased over the time until it reached a peak of a half in 2010, which was the highest percentage in total quantity sold. In contrast, South America stayed same level, at 11% of the total sale market in the period of five years, despite some minor decreases in between.
Regarding Europe region, cars was sold at the highest rate of 34% in 2006, then it gradually increase to 38% in 2008 before dropping considerably to 30% in 2010. Lastly, the proportion of sales in North America saw a downward trend, starting at 30% in 2006, then falling significantly to only 9% in 2010.
