Overall, drug sale in America represented the highest level in the initial years, but it had a gradual decrease by the end of the period. Moreover, in European countries, the drug sale experienced slight decline, whereas Asia which sold less drugs in the beginning saw a sharp rise in the end and became the leading market.
Regarding increased sale rate first, Asia experienced a significant upward trend in sales over the period. In 2002, the data recorded lowest share of sales with 25%, after which the rate started rose sharply in the following years. In 2005, this figure increased significantly to 35% and finished the period with the highest proportions of drug sales, standing at 40%.
By contrast, the remaining companies experienced decline throughout the period, with American’s sales falling noticeably. In 2002, American’s company’s sales accounted for the highest proportion of sales in the early years, amounting to 41%. In the subsequent years, this rate of drug sales witnessed a sharp decline to 35% in 2006. For Europe, the proportion of drug revenue remained comparatively stable, with a fluctuation range from 34% in 2002 to 38% in 2005, before falling to 30% in 200.
