The chart illustrates the proportion of five different age groups of UK adults using the internet from 2003 to 2006.
Overall, the first group who were aged 16 to 24 used most internt whereas people whose age were more than 65 used least internt.
Young UK adults aged 16-24 used maximum internet than other age group for any given year. Their using percentages range from 80% to 100%. They used 80% internet both in the year 2003 and 2004. 2005 was the year when they use as high as 100% internet. This percentage slightly decreased in 2006 when they use approximately 90% internet. British adult group older than 65 years used internet below 20% from 2004 to 2005 which increased to 20% in the year 2006.
The 2nd age group (25-44) used less internet in compared with the 3rd age group (45-54) throughont the first three years. Both age group used same figure (80%) during 2006. People who were 55 to 64 years old used internet lower than the first three group but higher than the 5th group who were older than them. The used internet which accounts for 20 to 40 percent in 2003, 2004 and 2005. Their internet usage rose in 2006 which was almost a half percentage.
