Overall, it is clear that Swimming is the most popular sport for both boys and girls/both genders. A huge volume of boys enjoyed joining football, while girls were more likely to engage in netball activity.
As the graph reveals, for both genders, Swimming stood out as the most favored sport, accounting for 13% participation for boys and nearly 17% for girls. Football had the second – highest participation rates, with around 20% for boys and 3 % for girls. On the contrary, Netball was the top choice for girls, with a participation rate close to 18% while more than 15 % of boys participated. Tennis had approximately 9% participation for boys, compared to 8% for girls. Basketball had a lower participation rate for boys at close to 7%, in comparison to more than 1% for girls. Cricket is the sport that girl engaged in with the lowest percentage at only 1%, as opposed to 13% participation rate for boys.
