The table provides spending of household income on five different categories in three different countries in 2020.
Overall, it is clear that the food category accounted for the significant majority of household income spending. Meanwhile, the figures for the education category noted the minority of household income spending.
Looking at the details, the food category represented exactly 85% of household income spending, which is the highest among the five categories in the three countries. This was followed by the housing category, at approximately 75%. Notably, the proportion accounted for by the housing category increased by 10% to be as high as that for the transportation category, at 65%.
Regarding the remaining categories, the education category and healthcare category comprised relatively small shares, at 35% and 40% respectively. Interestingly, the food category has the most significant majority of household income spending, but education has a relatively small minority in household income spending, which means education fees might be mainly supported by the government among these three countries.
