The bar chart illustrates the proportion of male and female tutors in six different educational settings in the UK in 2010. Overall, it can be seen that there were more female teachers in nursery/pre-school compared to the other schools while the university had mostly male tutors. The unit of measurement is in percentage.
To begin, the nursery school had the highest number female tutors of almost 100% . This is followed by primary school which had over 80% women tutoring there. The secondary schhols had a little over 40%. The least recorded number of female teachers was seen in the universities as they were approximately 25%.
conversely, very few men taught in nursery schools as they were only about 5%. The university had the highest number of male teachers which were approximately 75% followed by private training institute that had nearly 60% male teachers. The college of education however had the number of male and female teachers
