Similarly, male spent a higher proportion of leisure time on doing sprot/exercise than female, at around 70% and nearly 75%, respectively in England. On the other hand, women spending more free time with their family compared to men, at near 80% and around 74%, respectively in 2006. In the same year, about 76% was spending on reading by men, which was larger for women, at around 70% in England.
Turning to shopping, spending on shopping women leisure time was around 75%, which was almost double than man, at just over 20%. Meanwhile, among men and women who spent on playing computer games was unpopular leisure-time activity,at almost 10% and about 15%, respectively in England.
