The data presents the percentage of people from over the world, who migrated to Australia, in 1987 and 1997.
From the overall perspective, there was a slight drop in amount of migrants from Europe, some regions of Asia and south and north America. However, the percentange of people from other parts of the world increased.
Generally, there was a growth in the number of people from Oceania from about 16 to 23 percent. The same picture was presented by Middle East and North Africa and number of migrants from northeast Asia increased significantly by 10 percent. On the other hand, migration from Europe, America and rest of Asia decreased from 33 to 26 percent in case of Europe, from about 22 to just a bit more than 16 for some regions of Asia and there was a small drop just about 1 percent for both parts of America.
