The chart demonstrates the percentage of migrants to Australia from six different regions in 1987 and 1997.
The chart indicates that about 30% of people migrated from Europe in 1987 whereas only about 5% moved from North/South America. Therefore, shows the highest migration in 1987. During 1997, about 25% people migrated from both Europe and Northeast Asia whereas the percentage of people who travelled from Middle east,North Africa and Northeast asia remained almost constant in 1987. Similarly, only about 15% people migrated from three countries in 1987. The lowest migration rate being 5%, travelled from North/South America in both years i.e 1987 and 1997.
Furthermore, the rest of Asian people during 1987 relocated more than othr four regions,excluding the Europeans. The percentage of people relocated during 1987 remains similar from all five nations. However, the least number of people, about 5 % migrated from North/South America. The people who migrated from Europe is alomst 6 times more than people from America during 1987.
