In general, Portugal emerged as the highest propotion and the UK spent the lestmoney. While the figure for the USA remained steady, the other three countries fluctuated dramatically throught the period.
Italy was the country with the second highest investment of 20% at the beginning right after Portugal. The record shows a decline in Italy’s figure but in 2005 it generally increased slightly at 19%. Portugal began at roughly 28%, making its category the tallest bar. Subsequently, this figure also experienced a downward trend to hit a low of 16%. Althought, Portugal was the only country that had not seen a rise, it still had the highest number of data at the end.
Follow the order of the countries on the board is the UK, It showed the greatest fluctuation over the period, with its percentage rising before reaching its lowest point of approximately 7% in 2000 and recovering modestly by 2005. Lastly, the USA changed minimally, the figure peaked at 14% in 2000 before falling back to almost its initial level.
