The given statistics compare three different subjects in terms of the percentage of British consuming recommended daily amount opf fruit and vegetables in three main years, 2002, 2006 and 2010.
An overall observation reveals that women remained the most popular subject who follow this diet over the entire period. It was also evident that all categories witnessed an upward in trend over 3 years of survey.
At the beginning of the period, approximately 25% women choosing to follow this diet, showing its position at the forefront, compared to just around 23% in men. At the bottom of the list was children, at just 11%.
Subsequently, in 2006, the UK experienced a significant growth in the proportion of women consuming recommended daily meals,jumping to 35% before dipping again to roughly 27% in the last year of the surveyed period, still ranking first. The similar sites can be seen in both men and children, but the former recorded a rise to 28% in 2006 and falling by 4% in 2010, while the latter showed a lower rate than the other subjects, reaching to 17% in 2006 and recording a slightly decline to 14% in the final year.
