Fisrlty, the highest figure is Housing, which made up 30% out of Household expenses. After this category, Food took 2nd place, which accounted for a quarter of total spending with a little 5% gap, compared to Housing. Therefore, families spent a little more on Housing, rather than Food. To sum up, together, these 2 categories represented more than half of all Household expenditure in 2020.
Secondly, Education and Transport were roughly equal and comprised 15% out of total spending, indicating that families spent the same on these categories. On the other hand, Heathcare received the smallest portion, at 10%. This figure was significantly lower than spending on Housing or Food and was also 5 percentage less than Education and Transport.
