The first bar chart illustrates the proportion of secondary school-aged girls and boys in Europe, Sub-Saharan Africa, Latin America and East Asia in 2000. Besides, the second bar chart witnessed the proportion of men and women who were at college in higher education in the same year. Overall, while the both figure for Europe was seen an high percent, the opposite was true for that of the other categories. Especially, the figure for Sub-Saharan Africa is the lowest.
In Europe, almost the percent are higher than 60%, the figure for college-aged females stood at 60% and that of males was 10% higher than that of women. The figure for school-aged girls and boys all reach approximately 100%. By constant, in Sub-Saharan Africa, the figure for males and females who were at college in higher education are very low, the figure for females just account for about 1% and that of males stood at about 5%. Also, the figure for girls who are studying at secondary school stood at 20% and that of boys account for approximately 30%.
In Latin America, the proportion of school-aged girls stood at 60% and that of boys stood at about 50%, the percentages of college-aged women stood at about 15% and that of men stood at 20%. Also, the figure for East Asia males and females all stood at about 10%, the figure for secondary school’ girls and boys all stood at about 60%.
