Overall, we can see that the percentages of every type of waste that were recycled increased,with the exception of cans, which bobbled in the middle of the decade.
In 1992, the recycle rate of 4 types of domestic waste were quite low, between 10%-20%. The recycle rate for cans was the highest, with approximately 18%, closely followed by paper and glass, which were both around 12%. The recycle rate for plastic ranked 4th, with 10%.
This city saw a significant increase in the recycle rate of glass and paper over the decade shown, with the almost 50%(glass) of the number. The figure for cans saw a decrease from 1992 to 1997, however, it quickly increased from 1997 to 2002, reaching almost 23%. Moreover, the percentage of plastic that was recycled rose slightly from 1992 to 1997 by 2%, and stagnated for the rest of the period.
