The bar charts illustrate the proportion of places visited by Canadians, based on different groups of people, namely migrants born in other countries, migrants born in English-speaking countries, and people born in Canada. Overall, it is evident from the charts that there were corresponding increases and decreases in the frequency of visits by different Canadians to all four places.
In detail, the proportion of people born in Canada going to the cinema far exceeded those of the other two groups, at 70%, followed by new Canadian migrants born in English-speaking countries, at 65%, and new Canadian migrants born in other countries, at 50%.
In contrast, the figure for going the library by group one accounted for the highest number among the other two groups, standing at 55%, compared to group 2 and 3, accounting for 40% and 37%, respectively.
In comparison, the trend for going to the zoo was represented by 50% of the group 2, 42% of the group 3, and 35% of the group 1. Similarly, 25% of group 2 were more likely to go to the theater compared to 20% of group 3, whereas 10% group 1 constituted the smallest proportion of people visiting places in Canada.
It can be understood that people born in Canada preferred going to the cinema, and new Canadian migrants born in English-speaking countries were more interested in going to the library, whereas new Canadian migrants born in other countries were likely to visit the zoo. However, the least popular place among the other three places was the theater. In contrast, the cinema was the most popular options among the three groups.
