The chart compares the production of four grains – barley, maize, rice, and wheat – in three countries, A, B and C, in 2015.
Overall, Country A was the largest producer of grain, followed by Country C and then Country B. Country A produced the largest quantity of barley, whereas Country C produced the most maize. Rice production was highest in Country C, while wheat production was highest in Country A.
In terms of barley production, Country A was the leading producer with 100 million tonnes (MT). Countries B and C both produced 90 MT of barley. Country A produced 80 MT of maize, while Country B produced 40 MT and Country C produced a significantly higher amount, at 100 MT. This meant that Country C was by far the leading producer of maize.
Rice production differed considerably between the three countries. Country C was the largest producer with 90 MT, followed by Country B with 60 MT and Country A with 40 MT. Country A produced 80 MT of wheat. In contrast, for Country B, wheat production was lower than rice production at 40 MT and 60 MT respectively. Country C produced the lowest figure for wheat, at 60 MT.
