The bar charts compare and contrast data on the changes in the percentage of the proportion of businesses making e-commerce purchases in industry in Canada over a 5-year period from 2015 to 2019.
It can be clearly seen that when the whole period is considered, there was a steady growth in the construction and wholesale segments. In the construction part, the increase started from 20 percent and continued to approximately 55 percent; however, in the wholesale part, there was not that much of a rise, the climb started with 40 percent in 2015 and stopped at over 60 percent.
On the other hand, the manufacturing chart represents both an increase and a decrease together. Between 2016 and 2017, there is a considerable drop of nearly 10 percent, but this was not the only example of the decrease observed. Between 2018 and 2019, both the retail and information and communications parts had a slight fall.
In addition to that, the information and communications part had the highest percentages among the 5 different segments. Although its lowest value showed up in 2015 with 60 percent, it surpassed their rival departments.
