The circle graph delineates the occupational distribution of graduates from Bluesky University across ten distinct employment sectors upon completing their degrees in 2006.
Overall, it is readily apparent that service-related industries represented the most dominant employment avenue for the university’s alumni by a substantial margin. Conversely, fields associated with charity and sport garnered the least interest, reflecting a negligible proportion of the graduate cohort.
Analyzing the graph, the service sector alone commanded the highest popularity, absorbing exactly one-third of all successful degree holders at 33%. The manufacturing industry secured the second position, providing career opportunities for 16.3% of the post-graduate population. This was followed closely by education, which accounted for a significant 14.7% of the total distribution. Furthermore, politics and government positions also constituted a substantial portion of the employment market, engaging 12.1% of the graduates.
Turning to the less popular career paths, the fields of arts/media and science/technology exhibited remarkably similar proportions, standing at 7.8% and 7.3% respectively. Civil service occupations attracted a slightly lower percentage of individuals, registering a modest 5.6%. Meanwhile, miscellaneous employments classified under the “Other” category were responsible for a minor 2.8% of the total. In sharp contrast, the lowest figures were recorded in the philanthropic and athletic sectors. Job placement in sports was minimal at a mere 0.1%, which was almost as low as the philanthropic sector that sat at the absolute bottom with 0.3%.
