In general, as can be inferred from the chart, it is evident that the Middle East contains the largest reserves of oil, while Asia and the US are the main world oil consumers. It is also apparent that Australia and New Zealand are the regions that own and consume the most modest amount of oil.
Looking first at the distribution of oil resources, The Middle East has the largest proportion of these resources, accounting for 56.52 percent of global oil resources.mentioned regions. As opposed to the Middle East, Canada manufactures around 2/5 of the world’s oil. Africa, Eastern Europe, and Central and South America make up little about 10 percent. The percentage of oil resources in Western Europe, the United States, and Asia, on the other hand, is less than 3 percent.
With regard to consumption, The United States and Asia have the highest percentage of oil use, about 26 percent. The Western countries consume the second most oil (19.24). The other countries, like Canada and Africa, only use lower than 3% of their annual oil consumption. On the other hand, oil consumption is double that of Canada in the Middle East, Central and South America, and Eastern Europe. Australia and New Zealand have the lowest percentages of the world’s total oil and oil consumption, less than 2 percent.
