The given 2 pie charts illustrate key reasons of why people opt for to either cycle or drive to work by percentage.
Overall, the highest proportion of people choose driving to work due to its convenience whist people who travel to work by car prefer more healthy lifestyle and fitness and less pollution. Notably, more passengers like commuting faster.
To start with, an equal 30% of people would choose cycling because of the usefulness to their health and fitness also for less pollution. Whereas, 10% more people prefer travelling by car(40 percent). Nearly same rate of population (12 percent) consider that commuting by bicycle is faster compared with driving and 11% believe that through driving they will be safer rather than cycling.
Another reason to choose driving is the distance to work(21 percent). 15% of people prefer cycling because of the presence of space to their bikes whereas 13% cycle due to no payments. Intriguingly, same percentage of people in the second chart, think driving is comfortable for bringing items to work and they can go to work faster contrast to bicycles.
