The bar graph illustrates young people’s expectations for change in several areas.
Overall, it is clear that young individuals expect most aspects to remain relatively balanced, with some improving and others deteriorating. However, air quality in cities is widely expected to worsen.
The category with the highest expectation of improvement is communication between people, which stands out as the most positive figure at 54%. Although the quality of food is expected to decline, nearly half of respondents (49%) believe it may improve. In contrast, the quality of water, air in cities, and health are all predicted to worsen rather than improve.
Regarding negative expectations, air quality in cities is expected to deteriorate the most, recording the highest percentage at 70%. In addition, the condition of water is predicted to worsen, with 60% of respondents sharing this view. The quality of food and health are also anticipated to decline, at 51% and 58% respectively. The only category not expected to worsen is communication between people.
