Overall, it is clear that while almost all products expenditure in question by 18-20 years old went up, which in books went down. Also evident that food that stood out as the most product purchases throughout the period.
Looking at the graph more closely, one can see that food was the dominant spending at 3700 million, reaching the highest point of 4300 million in 2014 which led this product to the top spot in the field. Smartphone expenditures were close behind at around 2000 million, ascending sizably to 2600 million over the span of 4 years.
Also, food products were more spent than books, clothes combined. The number of books purchased hit the low of 1000 million, about halving in the year 2014. There was nearly no change in the proportion of products in clothes and toiletries, approximately 2400 million and 2000 million respectively, although that in toiletries purchases surged slightly by the year 2014.
