Overall, it is clear that the figure of food, smartphones and toiletries recorded a dramatic increase over the period. In addition, food became the product which attracted a large number of young consumers for 4 years. In contrast, the spending on books declined rapidly and the data on clothes remained stable.
Regarding the revenue of foods, smart devices and toiletries experienced an upward trend. In 2010, teenagers spent a huge amount of money on buying foods which up to approximately 3600$ million and constantly increasing to around 4500$ million. It can be seen that teenagers mainly used money for smartphones that started at 2000$ million and reported a significant rise of approximately 600$ million in 2014. There was a slight growth of around 200$ million in toiletries expenditure between 2010 and 2014.
In contrast, the data of money spending on books and clothes underwent an opposite trend than that of the other three products. Throughout the remaining time, the figure of clothes remained constant at 2500$ million. Moreover, at the beginning of the period, a moderate drop of 500$ million was recorded in the amount of currency that young people spent on books.
