The provided chart illustrates the comparison of the number of internations migrants in five countries: Germany, India, Russia, the UK and the USA. The chart shows data for 2000 and 2020 in millions. The table extends the information with migrants percentage in populations of these countries.
Overall, it is obvious that the USA was an absolute leader in the number of migrants among other countries. However, the percentage of people arrived from abroad to the USA was a little bit lower than in Germany.
The most significant observation is that the number of migrants in the USA increased by approximately 15 millions and accounted for 50 millions in 2020, which is more than twice as much as in other countries. Figures for the UK show a considerable increase too. The number of people arrived from other countries increased there in about two times and accounts for around 10 millions by 2020. Other countries show a lower difference. For example, there was no visible change in figures for Russia.
Another interesting feature is that India had the lowest percentage of migration among other countries. It accounted for 0.4%, while Russia and the UK had 8.1% and 14% responsively. The leaders were the USA and Germany with only 1.2% difference.
