The bar chart gives the information on the level of water reserves in six Australian cities between October 2009 and 2010. Overall, in 2009 the proportion of water in reservoirs of Sydney and Canberra were the highest, while the reverse is true for Melbourne. In contrast, in 2010 the percentage of water reserves in Canberra was in the highest point.
Starting with 2009, the percentage of water reserves in Melbourne was showed the lowest figure, with 25%. The level of water in reservoirs of Perth and Darwin were almost at the same points with only 5% difference, 40% and 45%, respectively. The proportion of water levels in Brisbane reached 55% in 2009. The figure for the level of water reserves in Sydney and Canberra were the highest points, with 75% for both.
In 2010, the water reserves in Darwin and Melbourne were almost 40%. The percentage of Brisbane’s water reserves remained the same from last year, however was relatively similar to figure for Perth’s reservoir, at 55-60%. The proportion of water in Sydney’s reservoir was 80%, while the Canberra’s water reserves percentage was just below 100%.
