Overal, a striking feature of the chart is that Asia and rest of the world showed an upward tendency throughout the entire period. Meanwhile, the opposite was true for Europe.
Standing at 40% in the initial year, the figure for the manufactoring output in Asia witnessed increased gradually to approximately 47% in the next eighty years. Afterward, there was a significant fall from 47% to 25% in 2000. The output level of rest of the world, followed a similar pattern, beginning the period at just 10%, it saw considerable growth to mere under 40%, then reach 32% in 2000.
In term of the production output of rest of the world, starting at highest figure (50%) in 1840, it was drop substaintially to around 18% in 80 years later, before growing to 45% at the end of the period.
