The bar chart compares five countries, namely Britain, Germany, Japan, Korea, and Australia, in terms of the proportions of tourists using four different types of transport in New Zealand in 2004.
Overall, it is clear that coach transport made up the largest proportion of usage in Britain, Germany, and Australia. However, a different option was observed in Japan and Korea, where air and car transport were the most widely used. By contrast, ferry transport was the least used in all five countries. It is also worth mentioning that the difference between the biggest and the smallest figures was significant.
Looking at the details, coach transport was the most commonly used type of transport in Britain, Germany, and Australia. Their respective figures were 58%, 52%, and 50%.
Moving to air and car transport, visitors from Japan used mostly planes, which made up 52%. Meanwhile, Korean people travelled by car, with the figure at just under 50%.
The bottom of the chart was the ferry, which was considerably less than other varieties of transport across all five countries, with the respective figures below 20%.
